The everyday is monumental

There is power in documenting in the margins.

ETHOS

We recognise that photographs have historically contributed to changing public attitudes and bringing an awareness to social injustices. We believe a photograph, though a two-dimensional representation, can influence change by providing alternative truths to a single-story narrative.

To document experiences, communities and cultures is to immortalise them, adding to our understanding of the past. We are committed to restoring the dignity of Black identities one photo essay at a time.
